Yeah PSN + is already really good value. They literally throw good games at you for free so I honestly think everyone should have it now, never mind on PS4. And if this extra revenue makes the PSN network more reliable Im all the happier.

what background? btw it's only 50 a year so I'm cool with that, you have to pay the same with Xbox so it's not like Sony is losing on this front.

They also announced a spectator mode for BF4. That's the tits and yea PSN will start charging, but you'll get free games and other shit from it soooo I'm not complaining.

I dont think spectator has been confirmed for next gen consoles yet though, just PC but that might have changed since I watched the livestream.

oh ok. i guess spectator mode on next gen consoles is quite probable though...no good start for the new consoles having a shorted versions in the very beginning already lol.

I think you can take take for granted that anything that appears on PC will be easy to implement on next gen and likely will appear, since new consoles ARE essentially PCs.

Spectator mode was allready available on Killzone2 (a game that launched in 2008)...

They are effectively old Pc's. If it needs a top spec computer to successfully run spectator the ps4 wont be able to match it.

why would it need a top spec computer though? it's like being in a match it's just you don't have your own character

Well Im just assuming there's a reason it wasn't in BF3 and one possible reason is they just couldn't put it all in and work. Now they able to use the frostbite engine more efficiently so they can do it but I'm not 100% they'll be ready for console.

They were asked about it being on consoles and the guy said "we'll see".

Well I think it would have to do more with their laziness and the "console crowd is technically challenged" mindset than actual hardware limitations of the consoles. Only thing I could imagine it would put strain on would be their servers and bandwidth, but spectator mode was around for long enough to not be anything hard to do. I bet my pants that the reason why it wasn't in BF3 was simply because they didn't have time to make a fully functional interface to use it while having to mess with constant patches and EA holding them on a leash with early release and all the DLC. They had a simple spectator mode in BF3 they used for recording cinematics, but it would require a lot of work to be usable by public. Since the new consoles are very PC-like, it would be very lame for them to have something on PC that is not on next gen. No reason why.
