The BIG question

I need to know where people stand when it comes to competitive BF3.

I know for some people the game has become boring and they want to quit competitive play or take a long break.

However there are people that are up for another season.

As long as enough key players want to continue i will put my time into this clan to make sure we are playing CB's up until BF4 or when all the other clans give up. I will recruit the necessary people to keep this clan going if it is needed.

So who is up for another season?

sure, i always have time in the weekends.

Offcourse i would like to go for another season, i hardly played in the competitive scene lol plus imma focuse more in pubs on finding better players on métro if i'm bored to get better myself...

I am, I joined 3 months ago, I wanna play moar.

But yeah I guess if we lose Buggsy & Snack it would make things a bit more difficult, dunno if we could find jet pilots as good as them..

I wouldn't mind taking a break from next season. We can always come back the season after.

We could always scrim CTF maps now and again.

Probably will be going competitively inactive after this season. Might not, unsure at this point. Largely deals with what snack is doing.

I still want to compete in this game as much as when I started but only if we do it properly. No half hearted seasons. Im not interested in being like tCo sitting at 14th place 8/5. Either we keep going as we do now and beat everyone like we can or we stop while things are good. iCon shouldnt slowly fade into losses because people trickle away.

Id like to keep our success from this season chugging on until everyone just gives up playing us. Thats the only acceptable way to stop for me

Im not playing atm but im willing to come back if needed, like if Jake wants to take a break id be happy to step in there for example.

@Moe, i know you do this from time to time so ill let you have first call so to speak if this situation ever occured

I would like to take a break for 1 season and play DLC maps with other teams? Idk, I'm pretty tired of BF3 but I will eventually want to play some battles I think

Dont get me wrong, stopping is not what I want. I want to keep doing what we do, and keep improving and perfecting. But if it came down to it, as a last resort I'd rather stop while we are the best than slowly lose our strength and fade.

I'll probably still be around in some capacity, but not playing as much as I am now. But since I play so much there's a lot of wiggle room before I become truly inactive lol.

Guess I don't have a preference either way really, but I'm there if you need me. Ever vigilant.

I'm kinda inactive thanks to Mackie's comment " theres so much good stuff coming out it would be stupid to limit myself to one game". I have a lot of games in here that i haven't played yet(Birthday gifts, Christmas etc. If you see I am doing trophies but I'm willing to play if needed it. I know you guys don't need me that much............ I remembered when i joined TAo and I clearly told Smot " I really don't care if you don't put me on CBs, All I care is to be part of a top team.

I am with Mackie on this one, I will go for another season but i dont want to be losing matches because we dont have air/armor/proper infy...I mean if we are going for another season we should have everybody on board for it, but if people will be taking breaks, we should all take one and fuck around in scims on new maps? maybe prep for next season when new maps(if) are implemented.

Point being : Either we all take a break or go for another season.

I'm done after this. I'll do what I can to help us finish strong this season in the chance it might be our last.

yea, i do agree with what mackie says too, if we go out, we go out on top, not fade out in the background.

idk how long it'll take for the next bf to start so if we do take a break for 1 season we can always come back.

I will probably be here to play. But without air we will have to play CTF scims like someone said. Or CQD, or squad rush

Yes, as long as we never have another weekend like playing RPG and tCo on the same day... My sweat bands still aren't dry... I think that day killed everyone especially the Team USA guys...

Im really looking forward to BF4 and KZ4, but if the decision is made to return next season, i'll probably start playing more, and would be available for CBs. There really isnt anything else to play until the PS4 releases, except GTA5, which is pretty far off.

I'm very struck down the middle on this one.

I totally agree with what Mad said, about not playing if we're just going to lose the fantastic reputation, the leaders and the main competitive team have built for us.

On the flip side of the coin, you can see within this thread that their are people who haven't had that chance to play lots and lots of games for iCon. So maybe, take these players, subbing them in and playing safe with who we play to begin with and start scrimming a few teams to get this "B team" up to scratch. When we feel comfortable to do so, join the FN ladder and rape with a fresh team.

I would say there are about 15 players that have been the key players in making iCon the #1 PS3 BF3 clan to date..however, we have 25 members (1 or 2 inactive). So my question is, let's not accept having an awesome 15 and let's attempt to have an awesome 25.

(Not saying the guys that don't play already aren't awesome )


EDIT: We might find that (inb4bf4speculation) we are even more powerful on BF4 if we have a larger quantity of very competitive players.
Who knows, if the competitive scene is anything bigger than 12v12, such as 24v24 or whatever, we would have the upper advantage, I believe.

I'll still be able to play but i just got a new job and i will be working some weekends so I don't know if I would be able to make every match. Ill keep you guys updated when I get my work schedule sorted out.
