12v12 Prized Tournament

Ive mentioned it before but now its official. Heres the links.

Ill start adding information to this post over time but for now I got us on the ladder and ready.

Prizes: 4 Hauppauge PVR's. Some other pointless stuff. But 4 PVR's isnt too bad

Theres going to be a low limit to how many declines you can have per week so teams dont dodge. This means we need to use the change request system rather than decline if theres an issue. Also means Kj, you should pile out a metric shit tonne of challenges and teams can't just say no

Theres going to be a quite high limit to the minimum matches played to even progress to the knockouts so this means we are going to be playing 2 if not 3 matches per weekend. Its going to be intense but we can tear through it and win the first real tournament on this game.

Noshahr Canals is NOT on this ladder. It has such a low rating on the site, the directors decided to ditch it entirely for this tournament.

Also, the final tournament is being hosted by Sony and another site alongside us and unfortunately that means we have to give in to their requests. One being that if teams cant make 12 players, they can request the match be 8v8 instead. This will only matter in the final playoffs as thats the first time we will meet teams from the other site but we need to be prepared. One thing to note is the other site doesnt really have any good teams of note so we should smash them pretty easily when we get there but still, be aware they might want 8v8.

AND IF I SAY SOMETHING HERE THAT ISNT POSTED ON THE PAGES IVE LINKED, ASSUME ITS NOT PUBLIC AND THEREFORE DONT FUCKING TELL ANYONE. DONT DERP ME AND THE REST OF THE TEAM HERE BECAUSE YOU CANT KEEP A SECRET. ITS NOT JUST ABOUT HAVING A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE, ITS ABOUT ME NOT GETTING KICKED OFF FN.

No, it has full HDMI but dont forget PS3 cant record with HDMI anyway. It only means you can output to your TV in HDMI but since the PVR is getting the signal from the ps3 in HD component, the quality isnt as good as straight HDMI anyway.

Yeah me and Kj have worked it out and theres not too much trouble sharing them out since most of us have them already.

I'd say the most active people from each squad, so we can get a perspective from every squad.

No, you are correct. The ladder will be enforced to 12v12 because it is on FN but the final knock outs will allow 8v8 as its run by Sony, so we can't argue.

Should also be thinking about air maps how we're going to play those with only 8

I don't think 8v8s are that bad, except for Caspian/Kharg/Firestorm. On the air maps 8v8s are completely retarded but I think most of the maps are actually pretty playable 8v8. However 8v8s don't lend themselves very well to fixed positions, you need people to move about a bit more.
